I’m a UI/UX designer based in Toronto, Canada. I always try to understand the "why" behind everything that I do, both in design and in life. I also like avocados.
I graduated with a Commerce degree from Queen's University, where I learned what separates effective businesses from ineffective ones. I then worked in banking technology at CIBC and BMO as a business systems analyst serving as a liaison between the business and technology side. I gained valuable skills such as understanding the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and knowing how to translate business needs into requirements for the developers. I enjoyed working as a business analyst, but wanted something more creative. I then came across UX design, which I realized is basically a creative business systems analyst, which is the perfect fit for me. I then took a UX/UI bootcamp, after which I worked as a UX/UI designer in StudyStream, which is a Y Combinator company that hosts virtual study session for students around the globe.
